i guess i have to write what we did for the 4th jewel lie, even tho there is no art to prove it. the mad every-brary was far
more normal than usual. Lord Shiva's temple manifested in strength and numbers, evoking mock bombs to cellebrate and
destroy our fragile psyche with brainwashism-the only righteous man alive t-shirts. well, let me assure you the little children
were a joy to behold, even the strange new forms of Devi. Santa Clause and Sir Peppy came and went at exact times until
finding each other in the alleys and on the rooftops. there new and old friends bore horns for the mandatory confusion of
making beautiful sense. a 3D panorama of thousands of fireworks went off around us, and plenty of IFO's were spotted
inside our brains. we wrote them there through our eyes and realized we are floating in the veins of some vast creature. i
guess everyone really is a terrible monster. The demon queen's dragon ghost came out of the fire box and burned us,
chasing me all the way to his twilight abode and then to mine were she and i fought in real dreams all night. i am so paranoid
to tell you how painful this all feels. they are planning to use nuclear bombs instead of fireworks next year. i am sure i forgot
to tell you many things, but St. Eve will help me edit this very important entry on the elementary school lesson.
A note on the background image; it
began as a digital montage of various
photographs of African and Indian
imagery. I put them together to
represent the messianic aspect of
Indo-Egyptian and Ethiopic religions. I
then took a photograph of it behind
glass with incense burning before it.
Mind-manifesting our la-grande-mirage via non-psychedelic holographic vision
evolution: Tearing a whole through the fabric of reality thereby changing it
forever, thats all. Just making it all sound so very nice to enter alternative planes
of existence. That dragon said, "stay up real late and read the miracles in the air,
and then wake up real early and take him to work real far away where he can also
play."

How this came to be. Steve is a Native American Spirit caged inside a hybrid Ethnic-Euro-American body with all its trappings and
stereotypes, falacies, and spiritual realities. I, Vrianda am a composite alien of various informational structures found in ancient
mystery traditions, various contemporary forms of religion, and especially the eternal Sanatana dharma of which we earthbound
beings know so little, that is my Vaishnava tendency and devout androgyny. Steve and I met through family and he introduced me to
my ex-wife. Now we are stuck in hell together.

THE VISIONARY HOLOGRAPHY OF THE HALLUCINATI TRIBE

Visionary Holography: A catch phrase to designate the self-fulfilling formation of a post-futurist yet neo-classicist cult of artistic rituals, made
up of geniuses and idiots, identities whom might have taught the original surrealists a thing or two, if only we weren't already the reincarnate
masters, the Da Vinci's and Dali's of the day.

HOLOGRAPHY

"Holography: is the science of producing holograms; it is an advanced form of photography that allows an image to be recorded in three
dimensions. The technique of holography can also be used to optically store, retrieve, and process information." (Wikipedia)

Holography; Is it a word yet? Yes as proven above, but we have made of it a Surrealistic technique for interpersonal religious experience as
contravercial creativity in our sacred arts and spiritual living, even if only by means of jumping on the bandwagon of the increasingly popular
lable of phantasy in imagery and conceptual object making called Visionary Art. Our Visionary art is differeniated from others in that we aim to
transcend its boundaries as much as it transcends the boundaries of non-visionary modes of art, and in this way is a reactionary movement.
Our Visionary Holography is differentiated from Technical Holography by this word Visionary as being Anti-Computer Fractal Mandalaic  and is
in stark contrast to the original mechanical mathmatical science of the technically perfect industrial robot version we so passionately protest.

HALLUCINATI

In reaction to the sociopathological norm of mass delusional agreement on stereotypes, our Revolution of Revelations has begun as a
movement only recently, since we are only loosely assembled as a group if at all, beneath the higher potential of an underground Baltimore
studio and art gallery, The Whole. In this context, we the Visionary Holographists are to be known as the Hallucinati Tribe. We are The Pope
Dragons as a band, and The Strange Attractor as a visual arts collaborative, however we are artists, poets, dancers, musicians, and all around
dramaticists in fact. We are Steve Dewey, Brian Baker, Michel Anderson, M.L.E.C.D. (Littles), Freda, Dana and many other satyrs and nymphs
whom stray in and out of our entourage. I only organize our exploits, but it is not for me to define what we are and what we have done, will do,
and are doing. I merely act as a Burroughsian Narrator and Illustrator of things as they come. I sing the Mantras of the dark goddess in this, her
age of destruction, while she pounces upon my heart, wailing and kackling as a demoness should and only the abyssmal Mother Superior
could.

Some of you will remember my effort to begin carving my own worldly path with fliers entitled HALLUCINATI; emblazened with a heretical image
of a wrathful angel, these fliers described a technical theory of what my own breed of Visionary Paintings was about. Its focus is on the dream
nature of reality and the aspect of scientific thought which understands the spiritual self to be the creator of its own experience. This is not to
refute any specific theology, but borrows most liberally from any and all already existent philosophies which lend their relevance for our
greater understanding of the unknown dimensions of our being. This would explain the prevailing symbolism of Hindu, Buddhist, and
Shamanic interpretations of divine messengers and their messages as  found in the three prominent religions of Judea. Because my work is
not limited to the confines of religious thought, I introduce also the recognition of recent forms of science which speak of our personal
control of perception and manifestation on a sub-atomic and thus immaterial level of being, analogous to the ritualesque intention of
meditators and sorcerers. More specifically, my personal strand of this work is about the detailed reflection of those spirits and souls whom
take form in my Vision Quest and Dream Reality, thus acting as static materializations of otherwise living transcendental shapes of divine
consciousness. It helps me therefor to seek the true meaning of my encounters with these gods and goddesses within the prevailing
literatures of mysticism and magic found in religion and the occult. And yet, to borrow Alex Grey's term, these "Sacred Mirror" like works of art
act as a catalyst for recreating the Psychedelic Experience. Not depending entirely on the use of Sacraments, the works are created at all
hours under a variety of ordinary and adverse conditions, and stand as a monumental testimonial of proof for God's existence and of the
paradoxical unity and heirarchy of all divine messengers. I say these things with the prayers of my beloved Jesus Christ upon my lips. I do not
expect others to share in my ecclectic faith, or in my belief that my work serves as a portal to the many mansions of the kingdom of heaven
(Braj, Siddhaloka, Devaloka, etc.), but I do not wish to tolerate the barrage of hipocrits and skeptics whose criticism is founded either on
self-righteousness or only on the devil's ignorance of reason and uninformed logic, which will forever remain obligated to the bondage of
graceless faithlessness, faith appearing to be the miraculous enemy of no one save he or she whose reliance is upon the God of Ego. This
work is not meant for the narrow minded, but for the seeker of creative liberation, the soul in search of wholeness through the current stream
of awareness accessible to those walking a spiritual path with heart.

Now to offer some insight into the drastically different interpretation of Holography as the term applies to the works of Steve Dewey. He is
aware first and foremost of an alternative plane of being which seems to have no official name. He does not equate it with an already
established realm defined by philosophy or religion, and is most excited by its highly personalized nature and intimately rewarding gifts of
consciousness exploration. In his words, he claims to be the "Interdimensional Shamen of Holographic Realms", and on a more humorous
note, another feature of his version, "... the only begotten sexy shamen of the strange attractor." It has taken a great deal of work on his part,
to find any level of comprehension from his peers as to what the hell he is talking about. On the surface his work appears to be torn and
shredded used papers and canvases with scratchy marks of charcoal and paint sloppily applied with no care for the fragility of his materials,
and scarcely more is seen by the common viewer than these abstract and apparently randomly placed shades and values of grey and of colors.
The truth is, the more you get to know Steve, the more you get to see into the complex structure of complicated layers making up one of his
fractal holograms. For Steve, as much as for Brian, the two dimensional surface acts as an oracle through which the viewer and especially the
artist, may see a third and even a fourth dimension of actual reality with which to interact spacially, whether as an entry point for the mind or an
exit point for an alien spirit. The unknown visiualisation powers of the mind become realized as superior to artificial modes of technology, and
a sacred sense of wonder is introduced to those willing to brave the shadows and twilights of his dimly lit ideal. This inner darkness serves as
a comfort to Steve as much as Brian's deities serve to comfort him, but both are a paradox, in that each threatens to swallow up their makers
into the very depths which have seduced their eyes and tempted their hands to remake. This notion of the forbidden tree of knowledge of
good and evil seldom escapes either artist's brain, as the alchemy of plants enhances the communion of mind with mind, of soul with god, and
of darkness with light. It is Steve's opinion that we are as individuals unaware of the boundless creative potential of our own mind's and that
our consciousness is the creator; this remains a conflict with Brian who believes the Entheogenic Theophanies of spirit manifestation to be
independant of his own untimely desire.

To break the cycle of these notes on visual art, the concept of Holography goes much further for Steve who grabs words from the mouth of
Brian and as quickly as they are pronounced metamorphosize into a language of personal mythologies. Everyone seems to enjoy this wordplay
very much, and joins in the madness with their own repetitious use of redefining terms like fractal, pope, and dragon... all of which refer to the
higher perceptions of a universal pattern underlying all things, and of those of us able to perceive the mysterious being's scales. It seems to
us, that the next bowl of pasta is as profound as the next dance we will discover in the rhythyms of our haphazardly instrumental shattering
musical weapons. In Michel's tongue, "Muse-sick Art-ill-ery". I write this thing as a preliminary for the group show we will be having.
